The Diocese of Warri Logo

The Crest (or Logo) of The Diocese of Warri

The Crest (or Logo) of the Diocese of Warri is a shield divided into two sections: upper and lower.

The upper section carries three veritable symbols of Christianity world wide, namely, the Cross, which is the Way of Salvation (in the centre) an open Holy Bible, which is the Word of God (to the left), and (to the right) a Fish, the early pass word and identification mark of Christians and their assemblies in the early days of Roman Empire persecution. The lower section carries an Oil Rig (to the left) and a Palm Tree (to the right), both representing the abundant wealth of the geographical area of the Diocese. The fish is also a predominant article of merchandise and life support in the area. Surmounting the whole Shield is the Mitre (the Bishop’s Ceremonial Hat) representing the Episcopal dignity and authority of the Diocese vested in the Bishop as its Spiritual Head.

Welcome to the Diocese of Warri!

I welcome you to the Website of the Diocese of Warri in the Ecclesiastical Province of Bendel, Church of Nigeria, (Anglican Communion). The Diocese of Warri is spiritually dynamic, united, disciplined and self supporting. The Diocese is rooted in the work of evangelism, looking at the various evangelistic organizations that exist in the Diocese. The effect of these evangelistic organizations has resulted in a spread to some other sister Dioceses. Our social Welfare is a clear expression of the genuine love of Christ that exists all around the Diocese.

The Site is a gateway to all the activities of the Diocese within and without. It provides information on the various segments/departments that make up the Diocese. Our aim is to bring the whole gospel to the total man in a changing world in order to experience the transformation that is found in Christ Jesus.

I wish you God’s blessings as you go through our pages and surrender your life to Jesus Christ for His service. Feel free to make any enquiry or any contribution that will edify the Church and promote the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
